Been looking at a 2006 CBR600RR on marketplace, guy says engine was rebuilt 3000km ago, new pistons, bearings, the works. Receipts from a shop but he won't name which one. Alarm bells or normal? I've done my share of rebuilds and my rule of thumb is unless there's documentation showing torque specs, clearances, and who did the machine work, you're basically buying a mystery box. He wants top dollar too because of the "fresh motor". Curious what you guys do in this situation. Do you walk away or lowball and factor in a potential teardown? Also any tips for checking compression numbers on a cold vs warm engine when the seller won't let you get it properly hot?
