Best backroad route for a 3 day trip on the old KZ? - MotoMike - 09-28-2026
So me and a couple buddies are planning a 3 day ride next month and I finally got my 82 KZ750 running right after the carb rebuild. Was thinking of doing the Blue Ridge section but honestly worried about the traffic and getting stuck behind RVs the whole time. Anybody got a good loop with twisties and some cheap motels along the way? We're leaving from around Charlotte. Not trying to do 500 miles a day either, the KZ is comfy but my back ain't what it used to be lol. Also if anyone knows good spots to eat on the route that'd be great. Bonus points for roads with almost no cars. Thanks in advance
