Organizing guided tours with private minibus rentals – does it pay off?

For group trips, I’ve noticed many companies offer private minibuses with drivers. On one hand, it seems practical—you all travel together, there’s no need to coordinate multiple vehicles, and the guide can share info during the ride. On the other, I wonder if the cost is justified compared to just renting cars individually. Has anyone organized tours this way, and was it actually worth the money?

That sounds exactly like the balance I’ve been looking for. On group trips, there’s always someone stuck driving, someone else stressed about timing, and usually disagreements about directions. A private minibus with a driver removes all of that. Everyone stays together, nobody has to sacrifice their enjoyment to handle logistics, and the whole group can focus on the experience. Splitting the costs makes it even better because it doesn’t end up being much more expensive than renting several cars. I think for families or friends traveling together, it’s an ideal solution.
