So I finally pulled the trigger and signed up for a track day next month on my 92 FZR600. Been restoring it for two years, new fork seals, rebuilt carbs, fresh rubber, the works. I've done plenty of canyon riding but never been on a real circuit. I'm equal parts stoked and terrified.
Question is what am I forgetting? I got the usual stuff on the list, tire pressure gauge, tape for the lights, extra fuel, water, snacks. Do I really need to safety wire everything or is that just for race orgs? Also any advice on tire pressures for the first session, I don't want to go out there clueless and bin it on turn one.
Would love to hear from anyone who tracks an older bike, especially carbureted ones. Any tips welcome, I'll take all the help I can get before I make a fool of myself out there.
