So my trusty old Joe Rocket textile finally gave up last week, the zipper completely blew out and honestly the armor is probably dust by now. Been rocking that thing since like 2009 so I guess I got my moneys worth lol.
Anyway I'm in the market for a new jacket and I'm kind of overwhelmed by all the options now. I do mostly commuting and weekend rides, some touring in the summer. Live in a place where it rains a lot so waterproof matters.
Been looking at the Klim stuff but holy cow the prices. Are they really worth it? Also curious about the newer Alpinestars and Rev'it stuff. Anyone running a jacket they absolutely love? Bonus points if it vents well cause I run hot.
Also should I be looking at getting a separate rain layer instead of relying on the jacket? Let me know what works for you guys.
