So I finally signed up for my first track day next month at NJMP and Im taking my 78 CB750 that I restored over the winter. Shes running great on the street but Im a little nervous about pushing her hard for a full day. What do you guys check before a track day on an older bike? I already did fresh oil, new brake fluid, tires are basically new BT46s. Chain and sprockets look good. Should I worry about the 40 year old wiring or the stock forks under heavy braking? Also any tips for a first timer? I know the basics, tape up lights, remove mirrors, but what am I forgetting? Do I need to safety wire anything for the beginner group or is that just for the advanced guys? Any advice appreciated, I dont want to be that guy holding everyone up or worse, breaking down on lap 2.
