Has anyone tried a VPS located in Sweden for reaching Scandinavia and Central Europe? How’s the latency and overall performance for projects targeting users in these regions?

I’ve actually tested a VPS in Sweden a while back, and I can confirm that the latency was impressively low for users in Scandinavia. Even some connections from Central Europe were quite stable. One thing to consider, though, is the specific data center provider, as some have better peering agreements than others. Make sure to check their network map and test their speeds before committing.

I wasn’t sure whether the performance would hold up for Central Europe as well. Did you notice any issues during peak traffic times, like higher latency or packet loss? I’m planning to run a web app with real-time data updates, so keeping low response times is pretty crucial for my use case.

If you’re targeting users in Northern Europe, Sweden is a great pick — low latency and solid infrastructure. One important link I came across was HostZealot’s Stockholm VPS page. They’ve got servers right in Stockholm, which gives you excellent reach across Scandinavia and even parts of Central Europe. I’ve been running a small project there, and performance has been consistently fast and stable.
